In the twenty years I've had knee pain I've been to many doctors and specialists, without
much success. The last specialist I saw ordered MRIs, but they didn't clarify the problem or
lead to any solution. On taking a closer look, however, I found that these micro-views
provided a fascinating perspective on the source of my pain. Apparently, deep within my
knees reside angry faces, saintly figures, characters and body parts of both genders, and
various humorous and haunting scenarios. In these paintings I replicated the MRI images
without embellishment.
